We provide annual and semi-annual preventative wellness examinations for your dog, cat, or pocket pet, as well as exams for special health or behavioral problems. Our vaccination and parasite control protocols are tailored to your pet’s specific risk and lifestyle, which will be discussed during your pet’s wellness exam.
For your convenience, we also provide day admission examinations. Admit your pet in the morning for the day, and pick him or her up at the end of the day. During his or her stay, our veterinarians will examine your pet and address your concerns, then touch-base with you on the phone or when you pick up.
At Alpine Animal Hospital, we also offer free brief exams for recently adopted pets from
local shelters as far north as Spokane and as far south as the Lewiston/Clarkston valley. If you adopt from any of these shelters, you must obtain a certificate from the staff at the shelter and bring it with you to your appointment. Free brief exams must be scheduled within 48 hours of adoption. The purpose of this exam is to determine if there are any obvious defects or problems that were previously unknown and will affect your pet’s quality of life, shorten their life span, or make them otherwise too difficult for you to care for. We do not give free vaccines at these appointments, but will have time to update any vaccines that are needed.
Appointments for examinations are encouraged, but we will make every attempt to accommodate a walk-in. We do take urgent care and emergencies, but prefer a call in advance so we can be ready for your pet’s emergency, and so that we may notify other clients whose appointments may be disrupted as a result. Please call Alpine Animal Hospital today to schedule your pet’s next appointment!
