Alpine Animal Hospital offers a wide range of services for your furry, scaled, or feathered family member. From routine preventive care & urgent care, to a wide range of available diagnostics & therapeutics, counseling & telemedicine, surgical & comprehensive dentistry, all the way to luxury species-specific boarding...we meet all of your pets needs!

Examinations

From wellness visits to urgent care visits, we offer comprehensive nose-to-tail examinations for dogs, cats, small mammals, and other exotics. Examinations can be scheduled as out-patient appointment or via day admission for pet owners who need more flexibility, or for certain appointment types.

Pre-Appointment Comfort Packs

Optional fear-free pre-visit pharmaceuticals pet parents can request that incorporate safe calming medications for dogs and cats to give at home before they even know they're going to the vet. Fear, anxiety, and stress (even excitement-induced stress) are natural consequences of providing healthcare to pets. Preemptively managing this will improve your pet's experience, enable more detailed examination and healthcare, reduce your pet parent worry, and optimize safety for all.

Vaccinations

Providing species-specific, modern, and optimized safety vaccination protocols tailored for a pet's individual needs depending on their life stage and life style. Vaccination protocols are derived from the American Animal Hospital Association and Feline Veterinary Medical Association. Parasite Testing & Prevention

Pets are common carriers of both internal & external parasites, and many of these parasites can pose a human health risk to you family. Our veterinarians make recommendations for pets that are individualized based on their life stage, life style, environment, and exposure potential. Counseling & Telemedicine

Behavioral & nutritional counseling, as well as follow-up on long-term treatment plans are well suited to in-person or virtual consultations.

Cats' Night Out

Surgery & Dentistry

Our dedicated surgical suite and dentistry suite are well-equipped with state-of-the-art anesthetic administration and monitoring equipment, as well as patient support equipment to enhance patient safety.

Pre-Anesthetic Comfort Packs

Pre-visit pharmaceuticals incorporating fear-reducing medication along with an anti-emetic to reduce anesthesia-induced vomiting & nausea, and help pets return to a normal appetite sooner after anesthesia. Recommended for all patients undergoing anesthesia and ready for pick up 72 hours prior to scheduled procedure.

Elective Spays & Neuters

While ovariohysterectomies (spays) & neuters are considered routine, they likely represent the most major surgery your pet may have in their lifetime. We take that seriously, and invite you to discuss what makes our elective surgery services different.

Soft Tissue Surgery

In addition to elective reproductive surgery, our veterinarians offer laceration repairs, minor and major mass removals, biopsies, bladder stone removals (cystotomy), abdominal exploratory surgery and foreign body retrievals, amongst other soft tissue surgeries.

Dentistry

Comprehensive dentistry services are available including cleanings with modern ultrasonic technology safe for both above and below the gumline, full-mouth digital dental radiography (x-rays) on all cases, and a wide range of potential treatment-based dentistry. Treatment-based dentistry may include non-surgical and surgical tooth extractions, periodontal treatments, oral biopsies, and gingivectomies.


Advanced Diagnostics

On-site laboratory and comprehensive imaging services allow same-day results for sick or injured pets.

On-site Laboratory

Extensive on-site laboratory includes blood and urine analyzers that have capability of providing accurate results for CBCs, blood chemistry panels, thyroid testing, pancreatitis screening, kidney function, and comprehensive urinalysis. Additional infectious disease screening tests provide heartworm, parvovirus, FeLV and FIV results within 10 minutes. On-site cytology allows for rapid diagnosis of ear & skin infections for prompt, accurate treatment of common conditions.

Reference Laboratories

Access to a wide range of reference and specialty laboratories across the country enhances our hospital's diagnostic capabilities.

Imaging Services

On-site state-of-the-art digital radiography (x-rays) and ultrasound technology allow us to assess ill or injured pets quickly, while our digital dental radiography unit allows for detailed full-mouth assessment.


Therapeutics

Sick or injured pets benefit from a range of potential treatment options including traditional and integrative options. Treatment plans are developed using an evidence-based approach and keeping your pet's and your unique needs & budget in mind.

Laser Therapy

Laser therapy uses specific wavelengths of light to penetrate tissues and promote healing at the cellular level. This non-invasive, pain-free, drug-free, and surgery-free option is used to treat a wide range of acute or chronic conditions including pain relief from chronic arthritis.

Acupuncture

A holistic treatment applied to specific points on a pet's body to stimulate the body's natural healing processes and to support a wide range of physical and emotional conditions in a safe manner that is drug-free and side effect-free. 

Hospitalization

On-site patient safety & support equipment including fluid & syringe pumps, various types of catheters, and a wide range of therapeutics are maintained to support hospitalized ill and injured pets.

Pharmacies & Therapeutic Diets

On-site pharmacy, veterinarian-recommended over-the-counter & retail selections, and online pharmacy & therapeutic pet food partners provide convenient options for pet owners.

Feline Boarding

Boarding cats enjoy a quiet dog-free retreat complete with personalized care from our Fear Free certified boarding care manager, Holly. Accommodation options include large boarding suites with full-sized window ledges, duplexes, and multi-cat accommodations, all with climate-control and hospital-grade ventilation for their safety. Optional services enhance their stay and may include one-on-one play or brushing sessions, and enrichment-based food rewards with lick mats.

Canine Boarding

Boarding dogs enjoy personalized care from our Fear Free certified boarding care manager, Holly. Accommodations are suitable for single or multi-dog households and include comfortable, clean, climate-controlled & well ventilated indoor spaces, and regular access to outdoor play yards. Play can be by individual or in groups, based upon owner election & pet personality. Optional services enhance their stay and may include leash walks, one-one-one play sessions, and Peanut Butter Kong enrichment.

Medical Boarding

Pets who need special care while away from home are in good hands. Alpine offers a tiered approach to medical boarding to meet each pet's needs. This may include medication administration, special handling or activity restrictions, injections (ie., insulin, subcutaneous fluids, etc.), and enhanced monitoring with regular checks from trained veterinary staff and on-site veterinarians.

Exotics Boarding

Certain exotic animal species are safely boarded at Alpine in appropriate climate-controlled, ventilated, and quiet locations. Owners must provide suitable enclosure to enhance safety and security of smaller species, along with species-appropriate food and supplements.
